Description

initial was commissioned by the 2022 Impulse New Music Festival. It was premiered at the festival by Eric Byers.

After a creative block that lasted months, I decided to write a piece that was true to my roots - melodic, textural, and proudly diatonic!

This is a short but intense piece that celebrates the act of putting notes on the page.
